Every Gift Makes A Difference

Thank you for your interest in Saint Francis Xavier School. Since its founding in 1862, Saint Francis Xavier School has served generations of families because of the many contributions from parents, alumni and friends. Our most recent annual reports and newsletters may be downloaded from the sidebar.

If you would like to help us continue to provide academic excellence in a safe, secure and faith-filled environment, here are some ways you can be a part of the Saint Francis Xavier community of donors.

Remember, it's not how much, but how many gifts we receive that will make the difference in providing quality Catholic education for our students. Any contribution, large or small, will be appreciated by our community and will help us support the success of all the children who attend Saint Francis Xavier School.

Individuals who support the Annual Appeal often choose gifts of cash and checks for their ongoing support. Last year's effort raised more than $40,000 in contributions.

Some of our donors choose a Planned Gift, such as a charitable gift annuity, or a gift of appreciated securities, to support our school and accomplish their personal financial goals. In addition, many of our donors and alumni have remembered us in their wills.

Making a long-term pledge to Saint Francis Xavier School is another favorite option. This method allows the donor the flexibility to make a larger gift and pay it off over time.

We have seen an increase in the number of gifts that come to us through the United Way campaign. You, too, can make your gift through the United Way by simply designating Saint Francis Xavier School as the recipient of your United Way dollars.

Finally, many companies have a Matching Gift Program, which doubles the amount donated to support our school.

Every gift counts, whether it is $1, $25, $100 or $1000 or more. Your participation is just as important as the size of your gift. We thank you for your prayerful consideration and hope that we can count on your support.

Watch for the Kick-Off 2009 SFX Annual Fund The Challenge Continues

Saint Francis Xavier School will launch the 2009 Annual Fund Campaign on Sunday, March 1, 2009. George and Jacqueline Bouffard, Co-Chairs of the 2009 Annual Fund, and Honorary Co-Chair, Sister Carmen Proulx, the Superior of the Sisters of Providence, are excited about the opportunity to continue the challenge to support Saint Francis Xavier School.

Annual giving is the financial lifeblood of any school. It helps sustain programs and activities that are not covered by tuition. Simply, annual giving is the best way possible for alumni, grandparents, parents and friends to help make a difference in the future of Saint Francis Xavier School. Annual Fund dollars are essential to: (1) provide scholarships and tuition assistance, (2) advance curriculum development, (3) compensate our dedicated faculty, (4) maintain and improve our school facilities and campus, and (5) ensure that a new generation of students has access to the gift of a Catholic, value-based education.

Father Lavalley provided us with an early boost to our Annual Fund Campaign last fall with his $10,000 Challenge Grant. It is now up to us to Continue the Challenge to achieve our fund raising goals. Please look for your Annual Fund letter in the mail and when you receive it, please donate as much as you can for the benefit of the entire Saint Francis Xavier School community.

In order to help us meet our goal, L’ Union Saint-Jean-Baptiste , division of Catholic Family Life Insurance, has announced that they will match the first $500 we receive for this campaign. This is the third year they have given us a matching grant and we are very thankful for their continued support.

Ways to Make A Gift

You can make a gift to Saint Francis Xavier School by sending a check to the Development Office. To make a pledge or credit card donation please call (802) 655-7690. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

If you are donating to the United Way with an outright donation, or through payroll deduction, simply designate that Saint Francis Xavier School be the recipient of your United Way dollars.

Some companies will match your charitable gifts. Please inquire at your Human Resources Department.
