Saint Francis Xavier School Financial DevelopmentA Tradition of Excellence |
Thank you for your interest in Saint Francis Xavier School. Since its founding in 1862, Saint Francis Xavier School has served generations of families because of the many contributions from parents, alumni and friends. Our 2005-2006 Annual Report is available on-line.
If you would like to help us continue to provide academic excellence in a safe, secure and faith-filled environment, here are some ways you can be a part of the Saint Francis Xavier community of donors.
Remember, it's not how much, but how many gifts we receive that will make the difference in providing quality Catholic education for our students. Any contribution, large or small, will be appreciated by our community and will help us support the success of all the children who attend Saint Francis Xavier School.
Individuals who support the Annual Appeal often choose gifts of cash and checks for their ongoing support. Last yearís effort raised more than $40,000 in contributions.
Some of our donors choose a Planned Gift, such as a charitable gift annuity, or a gift of appreciated securities, to support our school and accomplish their personal financial goals. In addition, many of our donors and alumni have remembered us in their wills.
Making a long-term pledge to Saint Francis Xavier School is another favorite option. This method allows the donor the flexibility to make a larger gift and pay it off over time.
We have seen an increase in the number of gifts that come to us through the United Way campaign. You, too, can make your gift through the United Way by simply designating Saint Francis Xavier School as the recipient of your United Way dollars.
Finally, many companies have a Matching Gift Program, which doubles the amount donated to support our school.
Every gift counts, whether it is $1, $25, $100 or $1000 or more. Your participation is just as important as the size of your gift. We thank you for your prayerful consideration and hope that we can count on your support.
We have established a Giving Society to in order to gratefully acknowledge all donations we receive. Names of donors in each category are listed yearly in the Annual Report. You may also have your gift remain anonymous.

Recently, Saint Francis Xavier School received the following special gifts in support of our new window project. The entire Saint Francis Xavier community sincerely thanks these organizations for their very generous donations.
| Richard & Deborah Tarrant Foundation | $50,000 |
| Conseil St. Laurent, Inc. | $30,000 |
| Winooski Knights of Columbus, St. Stephens Council #2284 | $10,000 |
Perhaps you noticed the activity at our school this summer. The windows in the oldest part of our building have been replaced with new, energy efficient windows and the grounds of the campus have new landscaping. The new window renovations will save us heating dollars during the coming winter months and both projects have improved the face of Saint Francis Xavier School.
In August, we installed a safe, modern playground for our children. Now our students can exercise outdoors in a colorful, fun and inviting environment. Father Richard Lavalley dedicated the new playground at our Back to School Barbeque on August 29, 2006.
Thanks to the parents, volunteers, donors and friends who made these projects possible!
