Ways To Help Our School

Ways You Can Help St. Francis Xavier School

There are a number of ways in which you, your family, and friends can help our school. We always welcome and appreciate gifts of time, talent, and treasure. We also wanted to let you know that there are other ways to help. Some may only take a few extra minutes and for most you don't incur any additional costs. Many of these programs are structured so that family and friends who do not live in this area can also participate.

United Way: We are coming to the time of year in which many companies have their annual United Way pledge drive. In many cases, you can direct your pledge to support St. Francis Xavier School. Please check with the United Way Coordinator in your organization.

Matching Donations: Many companies will match donations. If you are in a position to donate funds to our school, please check with your organization to see if they will match those funds.

Schoolpop: This is a shopping portal where a percentage of your purchases can be directed back to St. Francis Xavier School. There are links to literally hundreds of merchants, including those at which you can purchase uniform clothing such as Gap.com, JC Penney.com and FrenchToast.com. You have to access the site through Schoolpop in order for the amount to be credited to the school. Please spread the word to all your friends and family who shop online.

Price Chopper Tools for Schools: This is a program in which all credit is earned electronically through the PriceChopper AdvantEdge Card and through which we can earn much needed equipment for our school. If you enrolled last year, you can verify that online. If you were not enrolled last year, you can enroll your AdvantEdge Card online, or, if you prefer, we would be happy to enroll you online at school. Our school code is 15195. Please encourage your family and friends to support our school. Even if you don't often shop at Price Chopper, by enrolling and using your AdvantEdge card whenever you shop there, you are helping our school.

Hannaford Helps Schools: This is a program in which you can earn school dollars by purchasing certain products at Hannaford. You can turn in the school dollars here at school and we will mail them in to earn funds.

Shaw's Rewards for Education: This is another way for us to earn needed funds. Credit is calculated electronically when you use your Shaw's card and we receive a percentage of your purchases. Our school code is 6674733. You can sign up online at http://www.escrip.com/shaws/. This is a nationwide program through escrip so family and friends who live in other states and have cards at other grocery stores including Adams, Jacks, Pavilions, PW Markets, Safeway, and VONS or store cards such as Macy's or OfficeMax can also participate. We've had families as far away as California helping to support our school!

Verizon Extra Credit for Schools: With the extra credit for schools program, Verizon donates 5% of a Verizon subscriber's monthly long distance spending to the school of their choice. Each quarter, a check is mailed based on dollars collected for the school. Signing up is easy simply call 1-877-X-Credit to enroll.

BoxTops for Education: Clip and save Box Tops from hundreds of your favorite General Mills products. You can bring them in to the school or drop them off in the boxes in the entryway of St. Francis Xavier Parish. Each Box Top is worth 10¢.

Campbell's Labels for Education: This is a great way for our school to earn merchandise. Collect labels from eligible Campbell products, drop them off at the school or at the box in the entryway of St. Francis Xavier Parish and we can redeem the labels for merchandise.

Products Free with Rebates: Many times, particularly around the holidays, stores will offer products such as office supplies, computer equipment, or other electronic equipment free with rebate. If you come across such a promotion when you are shopping and don't mind doing the paperwork involved with rebates, please keep us in mind. Generally, rebates are not accepted from organizations, however individuals can purchase items, submit the rebate forms and then donate the items. In the past we have been fortunate to receive items such as language and encyclopedia software, computer disks and CD-ROM's, CD-RW drives, and general office supplies.

We are also looking for assistance with a variety of tasks. If you are interested in finding out how, please click here.
