Home and School Association

The first objective of the Home and School Association is to promote the welfare of the children in home, school, church and community.

The second objective of the Home and School Association is to better strengthen the relationship between the home and school environment so that parents, faculty and staff may better educate the child, spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.

The third objective of the Home and School Association is to support the operations of the school through various events and fundraising activities.

The Home and Association meets monthly and you are invited to attend each of these meetings. They are typically held on the 3rd Thursday of each month starting at 7:00pm. We have created a yearly calendar of events that will be posted in the next St. Francis Xavier Newsletter. Our events range from a Halloween Party in October to a Child Appreciation Event in April.

Each Home and School Meeting will be held in a positive forum. We are all here to better the education and environment of our children. We are here to build, not destroy. Every opinion will be respected and heard. However, in respect for everyone's schedules, we ask that if you have an inquiry that requires individual attention, we encourage you to contact the appropriate person after the Home and School meeting or the following day during school hours.

The Home and School Association is about having fun and accelerating our children's academic success. We encourage you to meet the principal, communicate with the teachers, attend school functions, monitor class work and supervise homework. We are responsible for our children's academic and social success. As author Tamara Hall, said: Remember that God will not stand beside mothers and fathers on judgment day and ask, How did the teachers do raising your child? God will look each parent in the eye and ask, How did you do with the precious child that I placed in your care?
