Wildcats Sink Lakers

The Saint Francis Softball Wildcats' offense proved too much for Colchester Middle School on Wednesday, winning 27-15. The 19 hit attack and aggressive base-running kept the girls on top from the opening pitch. Leading the way for the Wildcats with 3 hits each were Sarah Firecracker L., Kelly Turbo S., and Alicia Wheels M. Beth Wild Thing L., Lauren G., and Pierrette Pirate L. each had 2 hits including a double by Lauren. Lena Chicken Little C., Michelle Rocket B., Lizzie B. and Braelynn L. also had base hits. Karry Carebear F. looked hard for her first hit but scored 3 times on her 3 walks.

Lauren pitched the 6 inning complete game victory, striking out 10 batters in the process. The Wildcats have evened their record at 2-2, and play Lyman C. Hunt Middle School on Thursday.
